543 Watchers212 Deviations

Hello folks, guess you might have been wondering what happened to me ever since those last 2 deviations that were posted like last year. But now i have the time to update yet again here. So lately i stopped doing commissions since my new job (yea i got hired last year) schedule won't allow me to do more art for people than i used to. Plus my interest on dA is really low, just as you know already i do sometimes hop in and check once in a while still. Boy did i got new "watchers" to block since they had AI content and very robotish behavior to users. Guess dA is really dying due to lack of users or creativity huh. Maybe that's just me. Anyhow what have i been doing personally ? Doing good, just life stuff and real life work. Of course i still make arts but on a low rythm. For instance, there's an ongoing artwork made on 3 papers that i'm eager to share once it's done related to Valheim game. Alongside gaming projects to deal with, within Red Faction 1. (that i've been a pillar of the community for 19 years there, just like how old-school gamers are, and somehow never leaving) but not posting here. I'm not diving on personal real life details, but basically i'm alright and doing well still. Like i said, i'm more active on Discord either in my server or my friends's servers. I don't think i'm gonna post here frequently any news or stuff, as i said once, this will be just my archive dA account where i keep my old deviations if there's something that needs to be posted or not. For the sake of sensitive users that is.. Perhaps some of you really miss my activity that i've spent here for the last decade, but as hard as we accept the reality that is... times do change over time. May God watch your backs. I can only hope new users or even younger than us, can bring some change to the old system that is broken by the greed and AI infestation to legitimate arts. One can only dream. Hopefully you guys stay well out there and be safe! Wherever you all are, have a great time.

Hey fellas, i thought i would update with another warning that it seems dA is sleeping on duty when it comes to cleaning off the mess it just brought in. Without further due, i had to block like over 30 users that just watched me in the recent months after i checked their profiles individually. Why? Let's see... Some of them had empty gallery while some had AI art but with different artist watermarks (presumably stolen), no response to people that "thanked" for watch or faves, empty avatars and i get private messages if they could use my art as an "inspiration" for their ongoing work. Yeah well, no thanks.

Not just that, but after i blocked one user account that was made just for 5 hours (being fresh made), after i recheck that user again, surprise .... it no longer exists. These guys aren't looking to hang around, and while there's no other solution to these, i just want to warn you guys to be careful when you get messaged by these "ghosts". Block right away, no matter how convincing they sound when they say they will "pay you and credit you". I did that once to a user years ago when i allowed him to use an artwork of mine, and what did i get ? Nothing. Big mistake. Hope you guys are enjoying a wonderful time still and don't hesitate to check your profiles if you get these suspicious users, don't feel bad, unless they quickly respond then you know he's an active human being. Peace out! ;)

You may see some deviations on strike with -No To AI- as soon as you jump in dA.. and i tend to agree with them. Not only dA was being influenced by NFTs, but allows AI Image generating for "inspirations" ?

You guys do realise that this only sparks alot of art-theft. There is no inspiration or creativity if deviations are made by generating. It lacks talent and purpose of the whole website. How else human artists are supposed to learn to draw or anything other than just looking at an already made image just by typos ? A human brain is way more complexed than any technology and everyone knows it.

Youngsters could be easily influenced by it into thinking that's fine, but you have no idea how much anger will spark among many artists when they start fighting eachother with lies and statements such as "oh i made this image ez pz" while in reality it was generated.

I myself, will continue to stand up against this nonsense, while even tho its cool to generate images in general as a unique idea, BUT it should STAY OUT from art domain websites. Don't think i can do anything else but to express here my opinion.

Keep it up, Anti-AI artists!

Just a reminder that whoever just goes ahead and faves tons of work along with giving me a watch, as in the end they start asking "Hey can you watch me too please?"

That doesn't work on me.

They'll get a block instead. Let people decide whether they want to watch or not, don't ever ask such thing. That just shows nothing but attention seeking, and in my years on dA i never begged, cause overtime people will eventually discover your profile and its their judgement based on your creativity, behavior in comments, and social discussions if they want to watch or not.

In other words, -Watch for Watch- ain't my thing so sorry if i "broke your hearts" attention seekers.

At least for now by the time being.

Scratch the itaku thingy or other alternatives, I know i feel like i'm playing the odds when it comes to decisions so i apologize when an individual like me finds a hard time to get into proper arts in tough timeline like this. Especially when i'm not so devoted to dA anymore.

After previous weeks of thinking to myself whether i should just move to another website or ditch this account entirely since i'm way less active here than i used to be, according to a friend of mine spoken here in the previous journal (which i deleted it), about not trusting already new formed websites, i tend now to agree.

First, and primarly because of instability that new sites may be struggling to maintain a running line without backdoors being compromised in getting accounts to be exposed to network crackheaded cyberattacks.

Second, even tho i'm not so happy anymore with dA's changes, that caused many people to leave, some of my friends and watchers are still preferring to stay. Aside from my Discord server where **only** my close friends are hanging out, they still post even here regardless of alternative discussions. But i wanted to hear your guys's thoughts when i wrote about Itaku, and apparently not many felt keen to join, apart from that i only gave you a spark of something new to test yourselves. And i myself haven't moved there at all.

Now i know what you're thinking, why you have suggested this if you weren't inclined to join then? Because at first i wasn't thinking of possible site weaknesses that i mentioned above, and it should be now common and clear that whenever new sites are established as beta or under works, you wouldn't like to sleep when the roof falls on top of you someday. And by this i suggest now to retreat from there if you don't feel like it. I didn't forced you to go.

And with that, since dA has evolved over decades to a more "stabilized" domain you're more than welcome to stay, despite the dramas between fandom users or feature changes uncalled for but over years i stood neutral when it comes to that. dA admins won't ever listen anyway.

Third and lastly, when i said i may leave dA sometime in the future (as mentioned in an old journal), that still happens one way or another, it just depends on how life is treating me and my mood. Who says its easier to just leave it all together after spending a decade here.. Nuts! lol

Wrapping all up here to say now that, this account remains on as an archive gallery to me when i feel that my arts deserves to be posted in public or not. Because lately there have been stalkers, gatekeepers and canon-nazi. That only their canon opinions count when they don't like to hear a different perspective on one's imagination as they end up cry in public. That goes mostly to famous cartoon characters shippings or games. Good thing that i left the Sonic fandom here for instance. (but still respect their arts as long as its not based on an individual's hatred for another)

Consider this update as a heads-up from i wrote previously. Peace out.
